Slip - Anti-Slip | Test Methoden | BYK Additives

Surface slip is evaluated by placing a weight on a coated panel and tilting the panel until the weight starts to slide. Evaluation of slip properties of coatings. The coating in front contains a polysiloxan that improves surface slip; the one in the middle has no surface additive ( = control); the panel in the back contains a wax additive that gives anti-slip properties. A weight is put on the end of the panel and this side of the panel is then lifted slowly until the weight starts to slide down. The difference in surface slip is clearly visible.
