3 Days in the Scottish Highlands Pt2

The journey continues on Day 2 of my 3-day Highland adventure. After a quiet morning in Dornoch, I head toward the wild east coast with a packed itinerary. This leg of the trip takes me across the water on the Cromarty Ferry, into the heart of a local bike park, and finally to Channonry Point for an incredible encounter with the local dolphins. The day ends with an exploration of the massive fortifications at Fort George before catching a stunning sunset at New Aberdour. As the light fades, I’m left with a tough decision for the final day: Whisky Country or the rugged East Coast? 0:00 - Morning camp and day's plan 2:22 - Leaving Dornoch and the local market 7:58 - The Cromarty Ferry crossing 11:34 - Lunch stop at The Last Splash 13:06 - Unexpected stop: Bike park adventure 15:47 - Channonry Point: Spotting dolphins 18:52 - The Stevenson Lighthouse and local legends 20:59 - Exploring the walls of Fort George 28:00 - The Black Hole of Fort George 30:08 - Arrival at New Aberdour 31:20 - Highland sunset and Day 3 decisions If you're finding value in these moments of calm and adventure, please consider subscribing to Pedal Paddle Pace.
