Why You NEED to Train With a 1911 & Pump Shotgun
Is the modern "easy" gun making us lazy? In this video, I'm making a bold claim: Training with a pump-action shotgun and a single-stack 1911 will make you a significantly better, more versatile shooter overall. We often gravitate toward the slickest, highest-capacity rifles and handguns because they make us look and feel fast. But there is a unique clarity that comes from mastering the heavy recoil of a 12-gauge Mossberg Mariner or the mechanical complexity and limited capacity of a Springfield 1911 A1. When you master these "hard mode" firearms, jumping back to an AR-15 or a Glock feels like shooting a toy, and your speed and smoothness will show it.
