After spending time with so many Porsche GT cars over the past year, I finally managed to get my hands on one of my personal dream cars. The 981 Cayman GT4. And after my drive, I can happily affirm that the car is truly everything I always hoped it would be! Such a fun, raw driver’s car – it’s honestly hard to argue for anything more than a Cayman GT4. My only real complaint is the performance in the rain. I chose to film the drive for this video on a different day with great weather, because the car really didn’t like the wet conditions. In fact, I’ve never driven a car that felt this nervous on a damp road. That can be fun when you’re intentionally sliding it around some corners – just not when it starts swerving under normal braking in a straight line on Michelin PS4S tires. It makes me a bit nervous to imagine how this car would behave on a mountain run with sudden rain if it were on Cup 2s! Maybe not my next daily – but definitely a car I’ll always keep an eye out for if a good deal comes along! On a sunny day in the right place! This would always be one of my top picks for a fun drive.
