Som de boutique por preço de banana: Modificando o Joyo Vintage Overdrive JF-01

In this video, I show the complete step-by-step process of transforming the tone of the famous Joyo Vintage Overdrive (JF-01), taking this classic Tubescreamer circuit to a totally customized, boutique level! We made deep modifications to open up the bass, control the treble, increase gain, and add versatility switches that completely change the dynamic response and clipping of the pedal. If you want to learn how to solder, understand how these components affect the sound, and tune your Joyo, this guide is for you! Check out each modification made here: 00:00 - Introduction 24:47 - Getting to know the board 35:48 - Replacing the input capacitor 37:12 - Example without modifications (Original Pedal) 39:00 - Example with the input capacitor replaced 39:50 - Second modification. Replacing C3 from 51pF to 100pF 41:04 - Example with the 100pF capacitor 42:42 - Third modification. Replacing the 4k7 resistor with a 2k2 resistor 45:05 - Example with the 2k2 resistor 46:35 - Fourth modification. Blending the clean sound with the drive 50:52 - Example of blending the clean with the drive 52:45 - Last modifications. Key to replace the 47nF capacitor and key to select the diodes 56:01 - Final example with the interaction between the modifications 1:03:34 - Conclusion 🛠️ List of Modifications Made: C1 (Input Capacitor): Changed from 22nF to 47nF (To fatten the sound and let more bass through). C3: Changed from 51pF to 100pF (Smoothes the harsher highs). Gain Resistor: Changed from 4k7 to 2k2 (Increases the gain structure and pedal response). Blend Mod: Added a jumper to mix the clean sound (Clean Blend), excellent for maintaining note definition (and great for use with bass guitar!). Bass Switch (C4): Removed the original 47nF capacitor and installed a selector switch between 220nF (much more body) and 10nF (bass cut). Surgical). Clipping Switch (Diodes): The standard pair has been replaced with a 3-position switch alternating between: A pair of Germanium diodes (warm vintage compression, Klon style). Asymmetrical clipping with 3 Silicon diodes (more open, dynamic and aggressive Boss-style sound). 🔔 Subscribe to the channel for more electronics tips for musicians, pedal mods and equipment reviews!
