Let’s Customize Skulltimate Secrets 4 Abbey Bominable! Custom Reroot Tutorial + Painting Accessories

A couple of weeks ago I got my hands on the newest Monster High Skulltimate Secrets dolls, Series 4 Monster Mysteries! This set is a stand out for me and features some amazing face screenings, stylish fashions and overall cohesive design, BUT they still have one major thing bringing them down. They all have polypropylene hair 🙃 So as usual with this series, I am on a quest to customize them and fix them to my liking! For this series I will be rerooting each doll and embellishing their accessories to enhance the dolls to my liking. Abbey today is getting a nylon reroot which is a little bit outside of my wheelhouse but I’m really on a mission to color match her hair to her original blend. They aren’t affiliate, just for your reference! Crystal Flash Tinsel - I bought this a year ago and am still using it! So many colors for such a fair price and haven’t ran out of any one color yet either. I think it’s intended to make lures for catching fish but it works super well for doll hair. Link - https://www.amazon.com/Tigofly-Hologr... Folkart Dragonfly Glaze - My fave special effect topcoats, I use them all the time! They have five different finishes but the last color in the name is the dominant color that shows. I just found out they have one that is a full spectrum shift, never tried it but sounds fun! The one I used today is the Red-Violet-Blue shift. Link - https://www.amazon.com/FolkArt-44382-... Pearlizing Medium - I mixed this with the Dragonfly glaze, I love this stuff as well! It adds a nice pearl finish but on its own it’s pretty opaque so you can water it down if you want to thin out the effect! Link - https://www.amazon.com/DecoArt-DS48-3... White Model Making Paint - This is pricey on Amazon, go to a local craft store and find it instead! But the Amazon link is for reference.
