山海经 — THE CLASSIC OF MOUNTAINS AND SEAS | Chapter 2: The Western Mountains | 西山经

Three thousand years ago, someone walked to the edge of the western world and wrote down what they found. In the Western Mountains, the ancient traveller discovered mountains of pure gold and jade. He found the sacred tree Migu — eat its fruit and you will never lose your way. He encountered Yingzhao, the guardian with the body of a horse, the face of a man, and the wings of a bird. He stood before the Jade Mountain — a mountain made entirely of jade — and met the Queen Mother of the West, Xiwangmu, who controls the disasters and punishments of heaven, attended by three blue birds. He saw Bifang — the one-legged fire bird, where fire always follows. He found Luwu — nine tails, human face, guardian of the heavenly garden. At the end of the Western Mountains, he reached the Western Sea. Beyond it — silence. The edge of the map. The ancient traveller wrote down everything he saw. He did not write down what he imagined. That is why we still believe him. 🎬 JudyFan & Capy Films 📺 Soul & Light Tags: 山海经, Shan Hai Jing, Classic of Mountains and Seas, 西王母, Queen Mother of the West, Chinese mythology, ancient China, mythical creatures, Chinese folklore, 英招, 毕方, jade mountain, Western Mountains
