"This pain is too much for me to live... This is the message a person in suicidal crisis sends us. A suicidal person doesn't want to die. A suicidal person doesn't have the strength to live," argues Father Tomasz Trzaska, an expert at the Office for the Prevention of Suicidal Behavior at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw and a member of the support and educational platform "Life is Worth Talking About." What is the responsibility of loved ones? What can you do when you notice a problem? "Above all, don't be afraid to talk. You can ask about suicidal thoughts. They don't cause suicide, but they allow you to address the issue, listen, learn what help is needed, and tell them that the crisis is passing," explains Father Trzaska.
