SP1 News Report: 10/12: Strong winds left a trail of destruction this Wednesday morning (10) in the capital and metropolitan region of São Paulo: more than 2 million properties without power, 151 trees fallen, parks closed, flights canceled, and even hospital appointments had to be canceled. Wind gusts reached 98.1 km/h in Lapa, in the West Zone of the capital, according to measurements from the Emergency Management Center (CGE). To g1, Civil Defense confirmed that the strong winds this Wednesday are effects of the extratropical cyclone that formed in southern Brazil and also impacted the capital of São Paulo and its metropolitan region.
