Welcome to A Summer's Night Organ Compline, live from the brand new BIS Music Room in Winchester. This is the opening event of the 2026 Summer BIS Organ Festival, and the very first event the room has ever hosted. There could be no better way to open it than quietly, by candlelight. Compline is the last office of the day. Short, quiet, reflective, sung just before bedtime in monasteries around the world. Organ Compline has been my favourite series on the channel since I came up with it in Lent 2021, so it felt exactly right that it should go first.
