Bedouin Women Speak Out About Polygamy
Since 1977 polygamy is a criminal offense in Israel, yet thousands of families are subject to it. In fact, the Israeli government estimates that at least 20% of Bedouin families are polygamous. Many are now calling for the law to be enforced, in an effort to eradicate the practice.
