Cocada de leite condensado

Video posted on June 19, 2019 Hi everyone! Since it's June festivities, I thought it would be perfect to post this video of the coconut sweets for you to enjoy... and what a sweet! Special appearance by my husband, lol. Cocada Recipe 500g of grated coconut or 7 250ml cups 2 250ml cups of sugar or 430g 1 can of condensed milk or a 395g carton 2 250ml cups of water (if you prefer, use 1 cup, but keep an eye on it so it doesn't overcook and become bitter). Preparation: In a saucepan, heat the 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water over high heat, without stirring, until golden brown. Be careful not to overcook, as it will have a bitter taste, lol. Add the grated coconut, lower the heat, and stir constantly until it's completely dry. Add the condensed milk, still on low heat, and stir until it's dry and no longer sticks to the bottom of the pan. Shape the coconut balls and place them on a surface greased with margarine. Once cooled, enjoy.
