The 5 photography techniques that got me this crucial image

This video is a little different. It’s a tutorial, but with a twist, because it comes with a back story (which is skippable, if you’re pressed for time ;-) It tells the story of one of my most difficult and important images: how I shot it, and why I shot it. And it invites you to place yourself in my position and see how you would have tackled the tricky situation I faced - a situation that needed five photography techniques and one Photoshop trick to achieve. So to sum up, rather than making a simple ‘How To’ video, I’ve tried to create something a little different. It’s certainly been an enjoyable experience for me to make it; I really hope you enjoy the experience of watching it. ______________________________________ The Photographer’s Ephemeris https://photoephemeris.com/ Music by Mircea Iancu from Pixabay ______________________________________ Note: In the video, I mention Bordeaux’s tremendous prosperity and wealth in the 18th century. This wealth, like that of London, and several other European ports, was based largely on the infamous ‘Trade Triangle’ – Europe to Africa, Africa to the Americas, and the Americas back to Europe. Slavery is, and always has been abhorrent to me, as it should be to every other human being. And, whilst that ‘Trade Triangle’ should never have existed, regretfully, it did. It was a reflection of the awful attitudes of the time and so it is a history that has to be acknowledged, but which can’t be unwritten.
