SIB Fishing The Manacles - Cornwall

Small inflatable boats such as the one I’m using in this video are really affected by wind, fortunately in Cornwall I have the choice of North and South coast launch venues which give me the chance to get out even when it’s blowing. The manacles reef is somewhere I’ve always been aware of and I finally decided to take my chances with moderate offshore winds. As soon as I got amongst the pinnacles I knew that bass would be the mainstay for the session and sure enough my first lure caught bar from the SIB was secured. I’ll certainly be back at this venue in the near future as it has all the features of a top class area for the type of light lure fishing I enjoy most. Unfortunately the session was cut short when the gusts picked up beyond what’s reasonable on a flat hulled SIB.
