Kherson is without electricity, water and natural gas supply, but for the third day there is a disco on the main square. The city is in darkness because the Russians, retreating, hit the power lines. There is also no communication. There’s only the Russian cell phone services reception and only on the embankment near the Dnipro, which is now the front line. It’s quiet in Kherson, but in the morning the residents still heard incoming hits from the left bank to the right bank - on the outskirts of Kherson. Locals understand that Kherson can still be shelled from the still occupied part of the region on the left bank of the Dnipro. But they say that the worst for them, in particular 255 days of occupation, is over. «The worst thing was that if they forgot about us. We were not afraid when it something blowed, because it meant that the Armed Forces were somewhere nearby. We were afraid when it was quiet, because it could mean that they forgot about us», says a resident of Kherson. The man hugs the military who came to the square to greet them. «Remember them.
