It's June, the height of headwater tenkara fishing season. We're heading across the mountains with two people who are experiencing the headwaters for the first time. For three days, we're carrying all the necessary gear and camping in a world without humans. We cast our fly into the headwaters on the other side of the mountains...and a beautiful char jumps out immediately! We take turns casting our rods and catch one after another! Suddenly, we're catching fish! Could it be that we've come to a really good river...? We spend the night campfire and camp under a tarp.
