This video features a highly requested medical school ranking. With the concentration of medical schools becoming increasingly intense and even talk of expanding their quota, the popularity of medical schools is expected to rise even further. Even now, there are increasing numbers of students who are retaking the college entrance exam multiple times, even half-time, to pursue medical fields like dentistry and herbal medicine, and those studying to transfer to medical schools. This has led to speculation that the CSAT has become a medical licensing exam, much like the bar exam of the past. That's why I created this video. Many people still believe that medical school rankings follow the university logos, just like general university rankings, and many are curious about this. Typically, medical school rankings follow university hospitals. However, the medical school rankings are based on the Big Five medical schools: Seoul National University College of Medicine, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Sungkyunkwan University College of Medicine, Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine, Ulsan University College of Medicine, Korea University College of Medicine, Samryong University College of Medicine (Hallym University College of Medicine, Inje University College of Medicine, Soonchunhyang University College of Medicine). Except for Seoul National University College of Medicine, rankings don't really mean much. Because admissions are so high, the difference is virtually nonexistent, and admissions and medical practice have no correlation. Only someone with no sense of purpose would rank each of the 38 medical schools nationwide. Wouldn't it be a blessing if they just gave them a ranking? Anyway, with the talk of increasing medical school enrollment, I hope you'll watch this video carefully and not confuse it with general university rankings. This was created to reflect social perceptions, not simply regular or rolling admissions.
