Growing Dome Gardening 101: How to Create a Thriving Pond Ecosystem

The above ground pond is at the heart of every Growing Dome Greenhouse. The pond acts as the main thermal mass within the Dome and is situated on the north wall to maximize the solar gain throughout the year. The pond can also be turned into its own unique thriving ecosystem. Pond plants, floating island planters, fish, and snails can be added to create a self regulating ecosystem. Watering out of the pond is highly encouraged. The fish waste makes a great fertilizer and requires very little effort. ---------------------------------------------- Gardening is not "one size fits all".
