Building the Best 4.0L Ford Ranger Manual Transmission with 3.0L lower gears! Will This Work?

My 2003 Fx4 truck has the M5OD R1HD found behind the 4.0SOHC engines. The goal was to install the 3.0 first second and third gears found in the 3.0 and 4cyl engines. This didn’t work out the way I thought. Please let me know in the comments what went wrong.
