Treadle Wet Stone 1883 [Restoration] Part 1

We have done this video in three parts to show as much detail as possible and to show how much work this project was.The patent date on this wet stone is1883. It was in pretty bad shape so it was a challenge to rebuild. My goal was to make it functional again, so some modifications had to be made. I replaced what metal I had to, and repaired what I could. I used high quality (expensive) rust preventatives(POR15) and I used a hammer paint to give the metal more texture, then I painted over it to get the desired effect. Hopefully it will last another 140 years.
