He began playing the piano at age three and the violin at age five. He discovered jazz shortly after enrolling at Hosei University. In 2005, he studied under John Blake in the United States, learning practical jazz violin practice techniques. He subsequently won three awards, including the Best Player Award, at the Yokohama Jazz Promenade Competition. In 2010, he performed with world-renowned jazz violinist Christian Howes, earning him acclaim as "one of Japan's most important jazz violinists." He also tours with his own gypsy jazz unit, earning high praise as "a rare violinist who has mastered the unique timing of jazz" (Tim Kliphaus). Since 2015, he has also performed solo with the electric violin. He has utilized his improvisational skills in a wide range of activities, including live performances on the stage and collaborations with belly dancers.
