What it's like visiting LAGO DI BRAIES | @LifewithElliott Vlog #6

#LagodiBraies is one of the most famous lakes in #Italy, and rightfully so! If you want to visit, here's everything you need to know. 1. From July until September 2022 between 9:30AM - 4:00PM the lake will only be reachable by bus, on foot, by bicycle or with a parking reservation or a valid transit permit. If you show up outside of those hours and you’ll be able to drive right to the lake and park! The first parking lot is still for reservations but the second parking lot is just 30 seconds away so you can park there. 2. The boathouse is open from 7AM-8PM during the summer season, but I think the best light is around 8:30AM- 9:30AM. In the summer, the sunlight doesn’t hit the lake until that time so it is kind of useless to come for sunrise in my opinion, unless you want to beat the crowds. In autumn the hours of operation is different so make sure to check out their website before going! It's usually 9/9:30AM-5PM. 3. The lake itself is free to visit but parking is 7€. 4. Renting a boat costs 35€ per boat. You’ll get an hour on the lake 5. There are restaurants and washrooms at the lake as well as a hotel, and if you don’t fancy a paddle you can walk around the lake! It takes about an hour to complete the loop.
