Guy Lombardo And His Royal Canadians - Golden Medleys (1964)

At the end of 1964, Guitarist and Vocalist Bill Flannigan had left The Royal Canadians to pursue a solo career in the state of Florida. To take his place in the Orchestra, Guy Lombardo hired Accordionist Peter Selvaggio. Peter had been a studio musician at DECCA Records who performed with The Royal Canadians on their album "Italian Songs Everybody Knows," which was recorded and released in 1963. Peter would stay with the Orchestra for two years (later returning in the 1970's to stay for three years). "Golden Medleys" was the first album Guy Lombardo recorded with Peter Selvaggio as an official member of the Orchestra. It was recorded on December 28th and 29th, 1964 in New York City.
