Pioneer Spec-1 Preamp - Part 1
This pre-amp may not have been powered up in a while. Upon first power-up, the 500mA fuses blew in the power supply. Bringing the unit up on a current limiting "dim bulb" allowed the capacitors to re-form and all was good. Later in the video, we go into a little bit of detail about matching small-signal transistors and then replace the volume control with a stepped attenuator. This looks like it will be a very fun project!
