Traffic Of Kolkata circa 1989 to 1991 - See the old diesel buses and Ambassador cars, Maruti 800's and vans of Calcutta city of the 1980's and early 1990's, in West Bengal state. Archival footage of Park Street some 35 years ago, with black and yellow and all yellow taxis plying through horrible rush hour traffic. Polluted air looks like it must have been rampant back then, with rudimentary diesel engine run buses, and lots of pedestrians to breathe in the foul air. Dozens of labour / labourers are transported around in a large lorry. A JAL or Japan Airlines signboard, a Dunlop sponsored traffic island and Godrej sign board are all noticeable. A policeman animatedly directs traffic through a sea of Hindustan Ambassador cars, Fiat and Maruti vehicles.
