TREE PLANTING

In commemoration of the 2026 World Environment Day, celebrated globally on 5th June, Learners of POWA International Children School, Area 11, Abuja, participated in a Tree Planting Exercise on 18th June, 2026, organized by @iwd_womenforchildren The exercise educated learners on the importance of protecting the environment through tree planting. The learners planted Umbrella, Mango, Almond, Guava and Palm trees, which will provide shade, fresh air (oxygen), fruits and a healthier environment. The organizers also engaged the learners in an environmental quiz. Learners who answered the questions correctly were rewarded with educational books. The event was another practical step towards raising environmentally responsible children and promoting sustainable living.
