Maternal anemia also affects the baby, leading to low birth weight, developmental delays, lower IQ, and a weaker immune system, with extreme cases risking intrauterine fetal death. Therefore, regular hemoglobin check-ups, proper nutrition, timely supplementation, and medical intervention are essential to prevent anemia and ensure a healthy pregnancy for both mother and child.
