Wrestler from guru Hanuman Akhada in parrot green costume
1. This kushti or wrestling is practiced under the supervision of gurus in the wrestling schools called akhadas. This is a sport, not any lethal game or fight , it ends when a wrestler touches his opponent's shoulder blades on the ground, which is the same as in Olympics. practicing the sports is truly in the spirit of Olympic Games 2. Proper techniques and methods are taught to pupils, which are followed there by, the techniques are the same as are allowed in Olympics, no foul moves are allowed. the only difference is that points are not allocated, like traditional wrestling elsewhere in the world. 3. when children are considered fit by the gurus, then only they are allowed to play in the dangal. which is a traditional wrestling competition here in India. Newcomers are not allowed to play, hence these children are fully aware of their sport, and are in one way expert of the game too. 4. these young juniors are playing a sport, not a fight or a game till the end, in which anyone got hurt, hurting is considered foul, if you watch thousands of my kushti videos, you can't mark one match, in which one is hurting another. doing kushti is considered like serving God, it is praying. it is tapsya. 5. fouls moves are banned, when someone uses a foul technique he is stopped, and separated, even using foul language bars one from playing. so no question of hurting each other. even the best traditions of language, behavior are adhered, which in itself are an example for the rest of the world 6 the purpose is not to kill, or hurt the opponent, but to win the game, as children do, by putting his opponent shoulder on the ground, by the time the shoulder touches the ground, the referee stops the game and declares a winner, no question of hurting anyone arises thereafter. 7.it is played under the supervision of trained gurus and coaches, hence it is the safest game, no arms, nothing like sticks or any form of blades, or even nails are not allowed, hence it is the safe sport. 8. the children of this age also play in cadet Asian games, world championships, and many other national and international games. these children also play the same traditional kushti games. hence it is not like playing any banned or taboo or harmful sport. 9. in northern India it is very common and general practice, this video is a source of knowledge as well a inspiration for our junior wrestlers, who will get motivated to play kushti. as you know kushti or wrestling is one of the most popular sports in many many countries including India on behalf of these points, I request you to please consider this video SAFE FOR WATCHING AT HOME for without any age restcitions.
