Running 70K Through Ontario’s Brutal Winter | Ultra Running Documentary

Four runners attempt a 70-kilometre winter trail run from Lion’s Head to Tobermory on Ontario’s Bruce Peninsula. Filmed in December, this short documentary captures the reality of ultra running in Canadian winter conditions, including deep snow, cold temperatures, and long hours on untracked trails. The film follows the physical and mental challenge of running 70K in winter while also highlighting the trail running community in Ontario and the shared effort required to complete a route like this. Supported by Salomon and local runners, the project offers a grounded look at endurance and winter trail running in Canada.
