Ia's Day – Opening of the photographic exhibition "Childhood in IE" at Comana Monastery On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, on the feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist and on the occasion of the "Universal Ia's Day", after the Holy Liturgy, at the Comana Monastery, with the blessing of His Eminence Ambrozie, Bishop of Giurgiu, the opening of the photographic exhibition "Childhood in IE" took place. This exhibition is the result of the efforts initiated by Ms. Cristina Nichituș Roncea, a photographer specializing in children's photography, through projects such as "Childhood in IE" (2018) and "Breastfeeding is Love" (2015), the latter being awarded the Excellence Award of the Union of Professional Journalists in Romania. The project was born from a challenge conceived by the two authors of the concept, Mrs. Cristina Nichituș Roncea and Mrs. Priestess Mădălina Cojocariu, ethnologist and collector, and is addressed to all lovers of beauty. At the same time, the exhibition proposes a reflection on the way we present ourselves at church, especially on certain occasions, such as "Iei Day" or "Romania Day".
