Make your own holographic coaster molds using readily available materials. This video is more of an instructional video than we normally do at pourawayfluidarts. I tried to make some coasters to show off our new glitters and they didnt really work out. I wanted to show myself that I could make decent coasters and I've seen all those videos with the holographic surfaces in the molds - always up for a challenge I figured "I could do that!" and I bet lots of people want to do that too. So here we are. There are as usual a few learnings along the way. The template could do with being a little thicker than normal when it is used to make a mold as the walls seem to squeeze inwards and make the walls a little on the thin side. Also maybe they could be a little thicker overall. The colorshift mica doesnt seem to be colorshift at all and I'm debating returning it. I have some bubbles in the dark flood coat resin that are on the surface of the holographic - I checked the mold and it is perfect so I guess I need to debubble my resin better for the next time or spray the mold with IPA first...
