Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda announcing #CAB3 voting results from Parliament's extraordinary sitting where 41 opposition MPs voted NO against the Bill, while 226 other legislators consisting of Zanu PF and others from the opposition voted YES for the Bill. THE HON. SPEAKER: Hon. Members on my right, please let us have Order. I have not yet announced the results formally. If you want to sing, you can sing outside. The results of the count are that 226 Hon. Members have voted in favour of the Third Reading of the Bill, 41 have voted against the Bill. The number of the affirmative votes recorded is not less than two-thirds of the membership of the National Assembly. I, therefore, declare the final votes in the National Assembly on the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill [H. B. 1B, 2026] to have been in accordance with the provisions of Section 328 (5) of the Constitution. Motion put and agreed to. Bill read the third time. House divided.
