W. A. MOZART: Die Zauberflöte - "Der Hölle Rache" - NADA RUŽDJAK (OFFICIAL AUDIO)

Nada Ruždjak has many memorable performances, including the roles of Adela in "Die Fledermaus", the Queen of the Night at the Split Summer Fesitval in 1970 and in the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, and the role of Susanna in “Le nozze di Figaro” at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 1968, for which she was heralded as one of the best Mozart interpreters in Croatia. She also gave stellar performances as Lucia di Lamermoor, Olympia in “Les Contes d’ Hoffmann”, Zerbinetta in “Ariadne auf Naxos” at the Zagreb Opera, Nedda in “Paggliacci”, Verdi's Gilda and Violetta, as well as Musette, which she later used to develop Puccini's gentle and sentimental Mimi. As Violetta in "La Traviata", RUždjak appeared in a number of guest performances, among them at the Berlin Festival which were conducted by Lorin Maazel and Giuseppe Patanè. Austrian audiences remember her as a guest singer in Klagenfurt, where within six weeks she made 28 appearances in the exceptionally demanding role of Constanze in "Die Entführung aus dem Serail", sometimes even twice a day. This compilation features Nada Ruždjak's interpretations from her first record of the "Fly's scene" from Rona by Boris Papandopulo (1906-1991), recorded in 1969, as well as her subtle interpretation of Mozart's Countess, which was recorded in 1990. The recordings were made with the Operatic Orchestra and Choir of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, the Croatian RTV Symphony Orchestra and the Dubrovnik Town Orchestra.
