Mindfulness Fridays - Animal Yoga Breathing

Follow along with Hannah as we explore some different deep breathing exercises that have some fun animal names! Fish Breathing- Breathe in through your nose and puff up your cheeks so that they’re full of air. Slowly start to breath out of your mouth letting the air out. Dragon Breathing- Intertwine your hands so that they’re resting under your chin with your elbows out. As you are breathing in, raise your elbows so that they’re close to your ears, tilting your head up to the sky too. As you breath out of your mouth, bring your elbows and heads back down. Bumble Bee Breathing- Take a deep breath in through your nose and breath out through your nose while making a ‘humming’ noise. Sometimes it’s easier to hear yourself hum like a bee if you put your fingers and your ears. Stuffed Animal Breathing- Put a stuffed animal on your tummy and focus on moving the stuffy up and down with your belly breathing, pushing your tummy out and in while breathing through your nose. Lion Breathing- Take a deep breath in through your nose and as you breath out, stick your tongue out, open your eyes wide and put your hands out next to your face.
