Engineering a Playable Boeing 777 – Landing Gear Build

I built a fully functional landing gear for a 1:87 scale Boeing 777. This project started with a simple idea: My son wanted an airplane he could actually play with – not just look at. So I began designing a model that combines realism with functionality. Retractable landing gear, suspension, steering… all built from scratch. In this first episode, I focus on one of the most challenging parts: the landing gear. Every component was designed, tested, and improved until it worked reliably at this small scale. This is where the build begins.
