Single Node vSAN
Let's say you are building out a brand new environment. At the end of the day, you want a vSAN cluster with vCenter running on top of it. The problem, you need vSAN storage so you can deploy vCenter. This is where a single vSAN node deployment comes into play. You can build a single vSAN node during the installation of vCenter, and add the additional two nodes upon completion.
