3D Modeling Tutorial: Using Mash to create Raspberry Structure in Maya 2024 (Part 2)

Hello! Welcome back to this mini series on modelling and texturing a raspberry in Maya. In this video, we take the druplete models we created in the last video and use them to create our final raspberry model. 1 Firstly, we add some extra detail in the form of a crease down the middle of our drupletes. 2 Next, we use create a guide shape and use MASH to procedurally place these on this guide for us. This saves us a lot of time, since we don’t have to place them by hand. 3 Then we use booleans, which I think are quite scary sometimes, to fuse our drupelets together. 4 We then use the built in remesh and retopology tools to clean this up for us, and voila, we have a nice clean fused raspberry mesh. In the next video, we're going to look at adding the little stems that come from the mesh and start adding some shaders.
