Unexpected Legal Update

Last night, the Attorney General and the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology settled the administrative case against Sonya Dakar. I was informed this morning that the hearing that was scheduled for next week will no longer be taking place and that I will be told the terms of the settlement once they are made public. I've put so much work into this case in hopes of protecting consumers and I'm disappointed that we won't be moving forward next week. I'm hopeful that the terms of the settlement put an emphasis on protecting consumers and not just another slap on the wrist 🤍
