The Cirebon Police have successfully uncovered 24 criminal cases in Cirebon Regency. In uncovering these dozens of cases, officers also secured 31 suspects. Cirebon Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Sumarni, S.I.K., S.H., M.H., stated that the cases comprised two motorcycle thefts (curanmor), three aggravated thefts (curat), three cases of possession of sharp weapons (sajam), eight cases of embezzlement, four cases of sexual assault, one case of murder, one case of attempted murder, one case of oil and gas misuse, and one case of serious assault. "From these investigations, we have secured 31 suspects: two motorcycle thefts, three thefts, four cases of possession of sharp weapons, nine cases of embezzlement, seven cases of sexual assault, and one case each of murder, attempted murder, oil and gas misuse, and serious assault," he said on Friday (October 28, 2025). He stated that various pieces of evidence were also secured in the investigation of all these cases. The suspects and the seized evidence are currently undergoing further questioning at the Cirebon Police Headquarters. "We are still conducting further investigations on the 31 suspects who have been arrested. The articles applied in the 23 cases include Article 362 of the Criminal Code, Article 363 of the Criminal Code, Article 2 paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law, and others," he said. The most prominent case involved a murder committed by the suspects in Ciamis Regency, followed by the dumping of the victim's body in Arjawinangun District, Cirebon Regency. The suspects also stole gold jewelry, including two rings and the victim's cellphone. Furthermore, officers also uncovered a case of misuse of subsidized diesel fuel sold at non-subsidized prices. In this case, the suspects purchased subsidized diesel fuel from a gas station in Brebes, Central Java, and then sold it at non-subsidized prices at the Port of Cirebon. The authorities successfully seized the tanker carrying subsidized diesel fuel in Gebang District, Cirebon Regency. According to the suspect's confession, the subsidized diesel fuel was intended for delivery to Cirebon Port to be sold at non-subsidized prices.
