Why did women wear corsets? Brief history

In this video, we look at why women started and continued to wear corsets for hundreds of years and go through a brief look at the history of corsets and why they are often depicted as evil. The main purpose of a corset is not waist reduction at all but rather support and silhouette I give a very brief overview of the changes to that silhouette that was desired in different eras and how they affected the build of the corset and function.
