Kırkpınar Plateau, 22 Km from Ilgaz center. it is a plateau (lake) at a distance of 1800 meters from the sea and got its name from the forty springs that feed the pond in the area. Located on the slopes of the 2404-meter Emir Gazi Hill, which is an extension of the Ilgaz mountain range, the plateau is filled with unique examples of the unique flora of the Ilgaz Mountains.
