Campane della Basilica di S.Marino in Città di S.Marino (RSM) v.552

September 3, 2017. Patronal and national feast of San Marino, founder of this Republic (among the oldest) in 301 AD. Rings for the 10:00 a.m. Pontifical Mass (presided over by the Bishop of Montefeltro-San Marino, Msgr. Andrea Turazzi) and for the Solemn Angelus: [12:45] Solemn ascending plenum at 9:30 a.m. (lasts almost 2 minutes); [3:34] Distesa at 9:45 with V-VI (lasts 2 minutes); [6:10] 7 strokes on the VI at 10:00 as the final signal (the bell strikes the civic tower of the Palazzo Pubblico in the background); [6:43] Arrival of the Most Excellent Regency at the Basilica; [24:19] Solemn ringing of the civic tower of the Palazzo Pubblico, performed shortly before the Angelus (lasts about 50 seconds); [25:22] Solemn ascending plenum at midday (lasts almost 5 minutes); [31:07] Return of the procession to the Basilica with the statue of St. Marino (during the procession's exit, the civic bell of the Torre della Guaita was also rung, which I was unable to capture). A concert of seven bells with a seventh-note leap in E-flat major, cast by De Poli of Vittorio Veneto (TV) and originally electrified by Capanni but currently being maintained by Alba of Tavoleto (PU). The programmer is an Ecat Cronos 20, which you can see here: https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8498/29... I: Eb3 rising II: F3 rising III: G3 rising IV: Ab3 rising V: Bb3 rising VI: C4 rising VII: E4 falling Bells of the Palazzo Pubblico tower: I (hours): Bb3 II (quarters): Db4 And here they are!!!! I've been wanting to hear them live for so many years!! Although... I'd already been there with campanaro67 on a regular Sunday to listen to the holiday program, but unfortunately that day there was such a fog, you couldn't even see the bells if you wanted to. But since the sonata performed half an hour before the 11:00 a.m. Mass is so beautiful, I'll repeat it later, along with the second call and the Sunday Angelus, which is the same as the weekday one. In the meantime, here's the pure spectacle I captured on San Marino's national holiday. I want to emphasize that all the sonatas are programmed; nothing was done either at the procession's exit or return. But at least I caught the beautiful midday plenum... I admit I was moved; the video doesn't sound as good as it does live, and even though I don't say it too loudly, I think this is the most beautiful concert in Romagna. Add to that the stunning Capanni mechanics and the heavenly amplification in the tower (so much so that it almost creates a Tyrolean effect), and the picture of the Pieve di San Marino is complete. That's all for now; I don't think anything else needs to be said. Enjoy the video and see you in the future. P.S. I recently tried a "simulation" with the Tagliata di Cervia bells lowered by a semitone, and I must say the result is nothing short of exceptional.
