05-31-2026 The Messiah Before Yeshua: Hidden Throughout the Scriptures

The Messiah did not suddenly appear in history with Yeshua and Mirya—his presence flows through the entire panorama of scripture. From Melchizedek and the Binding of Isaac to the Burning Bush and the Prophets, discover the Messianic Continuum revealing grace through the law and awakening direct recognition of our Messiah Nature. Following the flow of the sermon and discourse last Shabbat, regarding the role of the law in the revelation of grace, the Spirit moves Tau Malachi to draw out of the panorama of scriptures the grace of the Messianic Continuum. Long before the appearance of Yeshua and Mirya, the Messiah nature manifested itself in key moments throughout the Bible. We will explore their co-arising in events with the law to more deeply perceive the Messianic Continuum running through and revealed by scripture all the while. At the end of the Gospel of Luke, when the Risen Savior in disguise "opens the scriptures" to those who invited him in, we have a window into all of the Bible pointing toward the direct perception of the Messiah. Gen 14 narrates Abram and Sarai meeting Melchizedek; the Binding of Isaac in Gen 22 demonstrates a prophecy of the Eternal One receiving the sacrifice of the Messiah; Moses at the Burning Bush in Exodus 3 likewise prophecies the Messiah through the Divine Name "I am" or "I shall be." Prophets such as Daniel and Isaiah both revealed yet deeper dimensions of the coming Messiah from the Ancient of Days and end of the temple cult of animal sacrifices, respectively. In all of these examples, the law played a role in cultivating the wisdom and merit to perceive grace. Even before the law of Moses, we clearly see how the succession of matriarchs and patriarchs followed the Holy One through a direct communion, without need of an external law.
