FIRST RACE BACK! - Daytona Milton Keynes N35 ST Sprint Race 11/04/21

This was my first race after lockdown. It's just a simple open race at Daytona Milton Keynes but it means I got to try out the new karts they have. MY OPINION ON THE NEW KARTS They've switched the old Sodi RT8's with 390cc engines to Birel ART N35-ST's with 270cc engines. I love the handling of the new chassis. They definitely feel lighter and the handling is a lot better compared to the Sodi's which felt heavy, were understeery and suffered from mid-corner hopping. Unfortunately, though I think downgrading to the 270cc engines was a bad move. The lower power doesn't suit how big a track Daytona Milton Keynes is, especially with the long back straight. If they paired the new Birel chassis with the older 390cc engines, I think this would've created a perfect 4 stroke kart for this track.
