Upgrading my tiny DOS PC to Pentium MMX + My New Workshop PC

I built a tiny Pentium MMX DOS gaming PC from a PC/104 industrial board, and upgraded my workshop system with a modern mini PC to support it. Two builds, one episode. This episode covers two builds. In Part 1, I replace my Dell Wyse 5070 thin client workshop PC with the ZimaBoard 2 (model 1664), a compact single-board computer with an Intel N150 quad-core CPU, 16GB RAM, and dual 2.5GbE LAN. I install Windows 11 on an external SSD (bypassing the slow onboard eMMC storage) and use it as a bridge machine for downloading DOS games from GOG, creating floppy disk images, and burning CDs for retro hardware. In Part 2, I upgrade my existing Cyrix PC/104 486 build with the Kontron MOPS686, a rare Pentium MMX 266MHz industrial board downclocked to 166MHz for fanless operation. The board uses a Chips & Technologies 69000 graphics chip, supports up to 256MB SDRAM, and pairs with a PC/104 ISA sound card featuring an ESS ESFM chip and MIDI/Game port for Roland SC-55 connection. I walk through assembly, BIOS setup, CPU speed tuning with SETMUL, performance benchmarks with 3DBench, and DOS game testing including Quake at 640x480. 00:00 Intro 00:35 Why I Need a Workshop Upgrade 01:25 ZimaBoard 2 Unboxing & Specs 02:55 Assembly & Windows 11 Install 05:00 ZimaBoard Performance & Verdict 06:00 Part 2: The Pentium MMX PC/104 Board 07:12 Sound Card & Connectors 07:43 Kontron MOPS686 Overview 08:30 Assembly 09:16 BIOS & Boot Setup 09:57 Benchmarks & DOS Gaming 10:53 Conclusion & What's Next Discount code: retrobecanes15 ($15 off) Purchase link: [LINKS] šŸ”— ZimaBoard 2: https://bit.ly/4e6TAvy šŸ’° Coupon code retrobecanes15 for $15 off ā˜• Support the channel: buymeacoffee.com/panoramindset šŸ“ŗ Related videos: ā–¶ Building a Tiny 486 PC/104 DOS Gaming PC:    • BuildingĀ aĀ TinyĀ 486Ā PC104Ā retroĀ gamingĀ com...Ā Ā  ā–¶ Building a Mini Bookshelf 386 PC:    • BuildingĀ aĀ miniĀ bookshelfĀ PC104-386Ā retroĀ ...Ā Ā  ā–¶ MS-DOS Laptop Showdown Finale:    • AfterĀ TestingĀ 20+Ā Laptops,Ā TheseĀ AreĀ theĀ O...Ā Ā  ā–¶ Siemens Scenic, the best DOS gaming laptop:    • ThisĀ LaptopĀ fromĀ 1996Ā That'sĀ ShockinglyĀ Go...Ā Ā
