Téada at the 2020 Philadelphia Folk Festival (Virtual Version)

Téada is a traditional Irish band led by fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada from Sligo. In this performance from the 2020 virtual Philadelphia Folk Festival, we also hear from singer and accordion player Séamus Begley who passed away in January 2023 and Samantha Harvey, piano and dance. Irish bands have been an important feature in the lineups of the Philadelphia Folk Festival. We saw Tommy Makem in 1991, De Danann in 1983, Eileen Ivers in 1999, Lúnasa in 2002, Sharon Shannon in 2016 and too many more to mention them all.
