GEPRC Naked GoPro Hero 8 Configure Using QR Codes

Configuring a Naked GoPro like the GEPRC Naked Hero 8 can be easily done using QR Codes or the QRControl App and updating to the GoPro Labs Firmware. In this tutorial we learn how to update the firmware and use the QRControl App. IMPORTANT NOTE!!! Many GEPRC Naked GoPro Hero 8's come with GoPro Labs already installed. Try a QR Code before installing the GoPro Labs firmware, if it works there is no need to reinstall the firmware. If you made your own naked camera using the GEPRC kit or the BetaFPV kit it will be necessary for you to install the GoPro Labs firmware to get this method to work. GoPro has made some changes in order to update the firmware (to standard firmware or GoPro Labs firmware). They require that the battery be charged to at least 20%, since there is technically no internal battery anymore on a naked camera the firmware update will not start the front screen will just show the updating icon, but it's not actually doing anything. You will have to reconnect the battery cable from the original camera if you made your own. If you purchased your naked gopro pre-made you will need to buy the cable and a GoPro battery if you don't already have one.
