Along with it, monetization features and clothing shops will disappear as well. After years of investment and ambition, the platform is coming to an end. With an active user base that reportedly struggled to grow beyond a few hundred users at times, and losses estimated in the tens of billions, this marks the closing chapter of Meta’s most ambitious VR social experiment.
