How to Load a Horse in a Trailer By Yourself. No Whip, No Help, No Drama

This week's Tip of the Week is one we all struggle with at one point or another - how do you load a horse in the trailer by yourself when they don't want to go in? 🐴 I'm using Maverick — a 2 year old filly by America's Next Top Gun who hasn't been in a trailer since she was a yearling. No setup, no brushing, straight out of the stall. Real and unscripted. The method is simple: pressure and release. Everything outside the trailer is harder than going towards it. One step forward gets a release. Stay patient, keep the nose pointed at the trailer, and don't get mad. That's it. The more patient you are the faster this goes. And if nothing else — your blood pressure will thank you. 🤠 👍 Hit Subscribe so you don't miss next week's tip! 🔗 Work with me: 🌐 mattmillsreining.com 💻 Gold Medal Formula: mattmillsreining.com 📲 Instagram & TikTok: @mattmillsreining #Reining #TipOfTheWeek #HorseTraining #MattMills #NRHA #TrailerLoading #QuarterHorse #WesternRiding #Horsemanship
