Staking Tomatoes, Planting Peppers & A Kitten Rescue
A day on the homestead takes an unexpected turn when we rescue a baby kitten from the dumpsters! 🐱 Today started like any other — watering the garden, staking up the tomato plants, and cleaning up the seed starter cups that have been sitting out back way too long. But then we heard a tiny cry from the dumpster and everything stopped. We couldn't leave that little baby out there. After the rescue, Thomas and I put that leftover seed-starting soil to good use and got our pepper plants in the ground together. Far from perfect, but that's how we do things around here — making the most of what we've got, one project (and one rescue) at a time. If you enjoy real-life homesteading, backyard farming, and the everyday wins and failures that come with it, you're in the right place. We're Bonnie and Chris, and we're building a life rooted in self-reliance — one tomato plant, one pepper seed, and one very lucky kitten at a time. 🌿 Follow our homestead journey: New videos every Sunday and Tuesday! #homestead #homesteading #backyardfarming #kittenrescue #gardening #dayinthelife #roosttoroot
